linda.perry.net is the domain of Linda M. Perry. Currently a senior visiting fellow at the National University of Singapore, Perry has worked in mass communication for more than 30 years, including several years as a journalist and a publlic relations practitioner as well as an academic.

Perry currently teaches communication management and journalism at NUS. Her students started NUS's  first independent newspaper, the Campus Observer, for which she serves as mentor.

A fifth-generation Floridian born in Lakeland, Perry earned a Ph.D. in mass communication law, a master of arts in mass communication law, and a bachelor of science in public relations from the University of Florida. She has worked as assistant metro editor at two Gannett newspapers, including Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida, was editor of The Brechner Report, a statewide media law newsletter for news editors and media lawyers, and was a police and courts reporter for the St. Petersburg Times.

She was on the public relations faculty at UF, where she directed the Visual Communication course, and was on the communication faculty at Purdue University, where she was chair of the journalism department and started one of the first online student newspapers in the nation. She has served as a member of the West Lafayette, Indiana, City Council and on the board of directors of the Independent Florida alligator. She also has worked in public relations management positions at a community college and a state regulatory agency in Florida. She is on the Board of Trustees of the Florida Defenders of the Environment, for which she serves as a public relations consultant.
